Product Data Onboarding

New range agreed.
Live next week.

FacetFlux takes the path from supplier file to sellable article: map the columns, normalize the values, fill the gaps, translate, classify. Your team gets more ranges live — without a new PIM project.

One Excel file is enough. No credit card, no project.

FacetFlux analysis report: detected product types, fill rates per attribute, and enriched sample articles
Free diagnostic — one range

See what comes out of one supplier range.

Upload one Excel or CSV — a single range, not your whole catalog. About three minutes later you get a report: the product types found, the fill rate of every column, and 10 sample articles enriched by AI. If your buyer asks for ETIM, the matched classes and the missing features are in there too.

  • Detected product types and the fill rate of every column
  • If your buyer asks for ETIM: matched classes and the features still missing
  • 10 sample articles enriched by AI — before and after, from your own data

Three runs free. No credit card.

Sound familiar?

If you carry ranges from many suppliers, you know these.

Agreed, but not created.

Purchasing says yes. Then the file arrives — Excel, a PDF price list, a ZIP full of images — and the range sits for weeks before it goes live. Every week of delay is revenue you are not earning.

The fourth email to the supplier.

Dimensions missing, weights missing, images missing. You ask, you wait, you ask again. The bottleneck is not your work — it is waiting on someone else.

You don't have a "data team." You have Stefan.

Product data is nobody's full-time job — it's a side task for someone in product management or sales support. This is not about replacing that person. It's about them getting three times as much done.

The range you turned down.

Every distributor has said no to a supplier because the data would have been too much work. That's the invisible half of the backlog — and the most expensive.

background

How it works

From supplier file to sellable range — four steps.

Send your data.
Step 1

Send your data.

Upload a CSV or Excel file — or send products via API. FacetFlux accepts messy, incomplete data. No reformatting, no cleanup required.

  • CSV / Excel upload
  • REST API & BMEcat import
  • No reformatting required
AI analyzes your catalog structure.
Step 2

AI analyzes your catalog structure.

FacetFlux detects what you have — and what's missing. Product types, attributes, categories, validation gaps. You see your catalog's real shape, possibly for the first time.

  • Auto-discovery of product types
  • AI-suggested attributes and taxonomy
  • Gap analysis and quality scoring
Enrich with AI.
Step 3

Enrich with AI.

AI fills missing specifications, generates descriptions, translates content, and normalizes values — across your entire catalog. Every enriched value comes with a source.

  • Fill missing specs from manufacturer data
  • Multi-language content generation
  • Value normalization and validation
Deliver to any customer.
Step 4

Deliver to any customer.

Export as BMEcat, custom Excel, or serve via API. One source of truth, every format your customers need.

  • ETIM classification
  • BMEcat export
  • Custom formats, Excel templates & API

Where are you?

Two sides of the same problem. We work from both.

You carry ranges from many suppliers

Technical wholesale, distribution, e-commerce. Hundreds of suppliers, each in a different format, new prices and new articles every quarter. You need throughput — not another six-month IT project.

Your customers are asking you for data

Manufacturers and suppliers. Your biggest buyer wants structured article data — in their structure, in their format, kept current. You have datasheets, a price list, and an ERP.

For suppliers

You can send this page to your suppliers.

Just want the enrichment API? Read the docs.

Speaks the languages your customers speak

When a buyer asks for a specific format, that is what they get — ETIM, BMEcat, or their own template.

ETIM

If your buyer asks for ETIM, we classify into ETIM classes and fill the features that class expects.

BMEcat

Import and export BMEcat for electronic catalog exchange.

GTIN

Built-in validation so barcode errors get caught before your customers catch them.

Custom Formats

Your buyer's own template: their columns, in their order, with their labels.

Who's behind this

Built by someone who has maintained product data himself.

FacetFlux is built by Christoph Menge. Chris started coding at eight, on a C64. While studying physics at LMU Munich, he founded the subscription-billing service Pactas in 2011 — today's Frisbii. After selling it, he spent eight years at Fielmann as CTO of Fielmann Ventures and Head of Enterprise Architecture through the company's e-commerce transformation, then led the merchant domain as Product Director at Cenomi, Saudi Arabia's leading brick-and-mortar retailer, during its e-commerce initiative.

FacetFlux is where that converges: product data, done properly. Chris is German and works location-independently — usually somewhere between Europe and Southeast Asia.

When he's not working on software of some kind, you may find him in the kitchen or sailing — which are not mutually exclusive.

There is no sales department. If you write in, you get Chris.

Start with one range.

One Excel file from one supplier. You see what comes out before you change anything.

One Excel file is enough. No credit card, no project.
